Jayco Sydney

My wife and I deeply regret purchasing my Jayco Outback 15. The build quality is poor and uses cheap parts. The bracket holding the awning in place broke off when I first went to use it. If I was driving and this happened, I can only imagine this would have called an accident. The fact that the arm holding the heavy barrel dropped it subsequently caused the awning to tear. See the picture for reference. That is cheap metal - not the quality I was expecting from Jayco. The awning barrel jammed and and a local caravan technician come out to retract it back into position, I had to use a pair of vice grips to pull it out and back in. The material for the shutter came loose from the bracket holding it meaning we were without privacy for our first stay. The brackets holding the window screens are glued on meaning we were unable to put the shutter material back into the bracket that holds it. In order to fix this I am going to have to go all the way to St. Mary's to get this fixed when I think they should send a technician to my house to fix these issues. It's a 100km round trip. The office did not dispose of their paperwork appropriately and as a result I received two phone calls from different people in North St. Mary's stating that they found my contract with my licence and registration details on it. I wasn't offered a trade in for my camper trailer, which would have helped us a great deal. They could have easily sold it on. Overall I think I would have gone somewhere else. I think my experience was not a good one. I thought Jayco had a better reputation than this. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

JAYCO SYDNEY – NTH ST MARYS What superlatives could one use and that would be sufficient to describe the wonderful team in Jayco Sydney’s (Nth St Marys) Service Department. To use the vernacular to describe their wonderful service would require the reader to reach for a dictionary or a thesaurus. I purchased a used Jayco Optimum and as a total novice and as such was consequently taken to the cleaners by the ‘old’ man and his daughter – unfortunately due to my accommodation and circumstances beyond my control these combined necessitated in me making a very rash decision to purchase his RV – of course my son keeps reminding me that he advised me not to purchase it. Whilst I was aware that it was dirty but I had no idea that it required so much additional work & repairs to bring it up to standard and ensure that I was safe on the road and to hold up off grid – I was prepared to clean the filth up but the residual repairs etc came as somewhat of a shock to the system and my budget. As a novice of owning a mobile home I was a totally unaware of what works what and what switches go on and go off etc etc. But the extremely well versed and competent team at Jayco service were nothing short of wonderful. They were so patient with my endless requests and additions to what needed to be replaced, changed or repaired that they amazed me. Added to this Tony & John extended to me with what no doubt was an unprecedented and most welcome gift of spending hours on what was their much-earned day off by going over all the repairs etc plus what switch did what etc etc. I cannot thank them enough and would recommend anyone who is thinking of purchasing or servicing an RV or caravan to their establishment.

We have never ever experienced service like we did at jayco Sydney last week. The care, The knowledge, The compassion, Is all unmatched ! We bought our very first caravan last week through a private sale, on our journey back home we experienced some mechanical issues on the caravan due to previous owner not servicing. We rang Jayco Sydney (the closest to where we were at the time still 3 hours from home) and received such caring staff on that phone call who said bring your caravan straight in for us to have a look at. It was actually after hours for the mechanics they happily stayed back 3 hours! When we arrived Brad was straight out to help us he explained everything to us his knowledge of caravans is unbelievable! Sammy the service manager fixed our van to ensure our family including three young children were safe to drive home! The compassion and care from this business is seriously above and beyond. They seen the stress in my eyes they seen the three young kids in the back seat and they did not stop working on our caravan until it was safe for us to drive home. Brad Contacted us to make sure everything went well and we were all home safely. If your looking to buy a caravan go to Sydney Jayco and see Brad, there is honestly no where else to get genuine service like that!! Thankyou Jayco Sydney!

After having an overwhelming and urgent breakdown, whilst travelling Australia in our campervan. The Sydney Jayco team, particularly Brad, Gary and Sally, went above and beyond to ensure our van was repaired, that we were comfortable while waiting and even repaired other incidental repairs found whilst, repairing our major break down. Could not recommend this team more, Thank you so very much 🥰

We have been dealing with Jayco Sydney since 2016, and have always found them to be fantastic. More recently we were assisted by Brad and Amanda to ensure we were able to spend the last 5 weeks on the road without a hitch. We had travel plans that were thrown into doubt a couple of months ago, but with the assistance of Jayco Sydney, we were able to take the holiday as planned and had a most memorable time. Thanks again Jayco Sydney, well done!
